Aviation Labour Hire chooses to grow with FastTrack

FastTrack's latest win in the mid-size recruiter segment is Aviation Labour Group, which is the first client to take advantage of the new 'best practices' solution in the enterprise software range.

The best practices solution is a new offer from FastTrack that provides a cost-effective option for companies needing enterprise-level software that can grow in line with company expansion, rather than being ahead of it.

FastTrack CEO Justin Sway says many mid-size recruiters need enterprise software to handle their spread of offices and the growing size of their business. "But as a growing company, they often won't need all the features and scale of a full enterprise software for several years – or the associated expense," he says.

"With our best practices solution, they can start out on the right path using industry best practice software to the level that meets their needs, budget, business growth and revenue in the short-to medium term. They can then determine when they are ready to scale up or add more features and functionality to their system."

One of the first decisions Gavin Taylor made when he joined Aviation Labour Group in January 2011 as General Manager was to replace the company's recruitment software. With a brief to expand the company aggressively, refine operations and build a common business drive across all units, Taylor knew he needed software that would allow him to better manage clients, candidates, and payroll/billing.

"We didn't need all the things that an enterprise system could offer, but we certainly needed some of them," Taylor says. "I wanted basic functions and a system that I knew was well supported. Importantly, I wanted a system built for where we are now and a system that could move forward to where we wanted to be in five years' time.

"FastTrack's best practices solutions met my requirements with a pricing/features structure that I was comfortable with for where my company is today and for where we are expecting to go."
